• Number of participating colleges passes 3,000
• Number of participating high schools passes 1,000
• 1,000th DegreeVerify school milestone reached

• Total Enrollment Reporting Process (TERP) participation reaches 97% of FFELP guaranteed student loan volume
• Clearinghouse releases results of Hurricane Katrina student tracking analysis

• Clearinghouse participation increases to more than 2,700 schools and 91% enrollment
• 500th DegreeVerify school milestone reached
• Transcript Ordering service launched
• High school analysis service launched, Successful Outcomes (now StudentTracker for High Schools)
• TERP participation reaches one-third of FFELP guaranteed student loan volume

1999-2002

• DegreeVerify, EnrollmentVerify, Student Self-Service, and LoanLocator services launched
• Second generation of enrollment analysis launched, EnrollmentSearch (now StudentTracker)
• Department of Education Direct Loans program begins Clearinghouse participation
• Name changed to National Student Clearinghouse

1997-1998

• First enrollment analysis service, Transfer Track, launched 
• Full guarantor participation achieved
• 10 million-student milestone reached

1995-1996

• Participation reaches 25% of US post-secondary enrollment
• Participation reaches 60% of student borrowers

1993-1994

• National Student Loan Clearinghouse incorporated in Virginia
• Pilot concludes with 34 schools, five guarantors and 
  14 lenders/servicers
